How it Works

The Children's Traffic Club books are designed to be used together by the child and a parent (or other carer).

Children learn by:

looking at pictures while listening to short stories being read out to them.
talking about the pictures and stories and what they mean.
doing simple activities that remind them of the main messages.
practising what they have learned - every time they are out together.

(and remember they learn by example, so always set a good example!)

As you go through the books you will meet The Children's Traffic Club children. Each story has one of the children in it and your child will soon be able to recognise them and get to know their names and their families. We hope that they will also be able to identify with one of them.

Balloon characters appear on all Club material – these are a fun way for the children to remember the road safety messages.

Once registered, your child will receive the first pack in a total of six book packs – the rest will follow, one book every three months straight to your door, by post.
